This Director, Human Resources position potentially offers one of the best senior level human resources opportunity available in the retail industry in Canada today. The position requires an individual with senior level expertise in all aspects of Human Resources within a retail chain with emphasis on leadership. Leading a small team of HR experts, the Director, Human Resources holds responsibility in the following areas:

  • Provides HR programs which align with business strategies as relates to organizational design, recruiting and retention, training and development, employee performance and engagement, recognition and rewards, leadership development, succession planning and talent management.
  • Provides advice, counsel and support to our management team on people issues.
  • Leads the HR, Payroll, and Health & Safety departments, establishing and evaluating standards that ensure service excellence to the rest of the organization.

This position requires an individual who is a natural communicator, collaborator, and consensus builder. The individual will work closely with our senior management and executive team to support their various Human Resources areas. This is not a strict rules and regulations type role. This is a people person role with a genuine opportunity to make a real difference within an iconic retailer. Solid and senior Human Resources experience within a retail organization is nearly essential and a bilingual individual would be preferred.
